PluckUpPrivacy Policy

Ormdata Inc. ("we", "us") operates the mobile application PluckUp (the "App") in compliance with applicable data protection laws. This policy explains what information we process in the App and for what purposes. The Korean-language version of this policy is the authoritative version; in case of any conflict with a translation, the Korean version prevails.
1. Core Principle — No Account, Minimal Processing, No Own Server
PluckUp has no PluckUp sign-up or account requirement, and does not ask for your name or phone number to use the App. When you back up or restore with Google Drive, the App retrieves your Google account email and stores and displays it on your device. Your practice data, recordings, and settings are, in principle, stored locally on your device, and we do not collect or transmit your content (recorded audio, source tracks, etc.) to any server of our own. Only the operational data below (Firebase installation identifiers, usage statistics, crash diagnostics, push, and Remote Config) and features you actively initiate (Google Drive/iCloud backup, in-app purchase) involve processing through the third-party services described here.

Legal bases: we process the information above to perform our contract with you (operating the App) or with your consent (usage statistics and crash diagnostics, push, backup, purchase). Usage statistics and crash diagnostics start only after you consent on first launch, and you can withdraw this anytime in the App settings.
3. Retention and Destruction
- Local data (recordings, settings, practice history): until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. (Recording files in shared storage may remain on the device and are managed by you.)
- Drive backup: until you delete it from your Google Drive.
- iCloud backup: until you delete it from your iCloud Drive (managed by you).
- Firebase installation identifiers, Remote Config, usage statistics, and crash diagnostics: retained under the applicable Firebase service policies. Installation IDs, app instance IDs, and iOS IDFV are used, so this data is not all anonymous.
- Inquiry records: destroyed within 12 months after the inquiry is resolved.
Destruction procedure and method: personal information whose retention period has expired or whose processing purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay. Electronic files are permanently deleted in a non-recoverable manner; other records are shredded or incinerated.
4. Sharing and Sub-processors
We do not sell your personal information. To operate the App, we entrust processing to the following services, which handle information under their own policies.

5. International Transfer
In the course of using the third-party (Google) services above, certain information may be processed and stored on servers located outside the Republic of Korea. This constitutes an entrustment/storage of personal information for the performance of the service (contract), with the following details.

6. Device Permissions
- Microphone: used for the tuner's pitch detection and practice recording. Audio is processed on the device and not sent to our servers.
- Media/audio files: used to show the recordings list and to load audio for speed/pitch.
- Notifications: used to display notices or event messages when the corresponding notification setting is enabled.
You can revoke each permission anytime in your device settings; doing so limits only the related feature.
7. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
- You can view and delete local data (recordings, settings) directly in the App.
- Opting out of usage statistics and crash diagnostics: turn off Send usage statistics and crash reports in the App settings to stop analytics and crash event transmission. On Android and iOS, Remote Config may still be fetched separately. The App collects no advertising identifier. Push stops when you turn off Notices and Event notifications in the App settings.
- Requests to exercise rights such as access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing are received and handled at the contact below (Data Protection Officer); we act without delay within the periods set by law.
- Users in the EU and other regions may have rights under applicable laws (e.g., GDPR) and can contact us below to exercise them. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Remedies for Privacy Infringement
To report or consult on a privacy infringement, you may contact the following bodies in the Republic of Korea — the home regulators of the company. If you are outside Korea, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

9. Children
The App is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Security
User data is, in principle, stored on the device, and communication with third-party (Google) services is protected with industry-standard encryption (e.g., HTTPS).
