Privacy Policy
Effective: July 5, 2026 · Last updated: July 5, 2026
Ormdata Inc. ("we", "us") operates the mobile application PluckUp (the "App") in compliance with applicable data protection laws. This policy explains what information we process in the App and for what purposes. The Korean-language version of this policy is the authoritative version; in case of any conflict with a translation, the Korean version prevails.
1. Core Principle — No Account, Minimal Processing, No Own Server
PluckUp has no sign-up, no login, and no accounts, and does not collect personally identifying information such as your name, phone number, or email. Your practice data, recordings, and settings are, in principle, stored locally on your device, and we do not collect or transmit your content (recorded audio, source tracks, etc.) to any server of our own. Only the operational data below (anonymous statistics, crash diagnostics, push) and features you actively initiate (Google Drive backup, in-app purchase) involve processing through the third-party services described here.
2. Information We Process and Purposes
| Category | Details | Purpose | Processor |
|---|---|---|---|
| Usage statistics (anonymous) | Screen views and feature-use events, device/OS type, approximate country/region, app version, a random instance identifier. No advertising identifier is collected. | Product improvement, usage analysis | Google Firebase Analytics |
| Crash diagnostics | Error stack, device state, and app version upon an app crash | Stability and bug fixes | Google Firebase Crashlytics |
| Push token (optional) | Device push registration token — only if you enable Event notifications | Sending notices/update notifications | Google Firebase Cloud Messaging |
| Drive backup (optional) | When you run a backup, settings, practice data, and media are stored to your own Google Drive. App accesses only files it created (drive.file) | Restore on device change | Google Drive (your account) |
| Payment (optional) | Purchase state and order info for a one-time Pro purchase — handled by Google Play. We do not store payment instrument details such as card numbers | Unlocking Pro, purchase restore | Google Play Billing |
| Recordings & audio (local) | Recordings you create and audio you load for speed/pitch — stored only on your device / shared storage; not sent to our servers | In-app playback and practice | Your device (local) |
| Inquiries (optional) | Information you voluntarily provide when contacting us by email (email address, message) | Responding to inquiries | Us (email) |
Legal bases: we process the information above to perform our contract with you (operating the App) or with your consent (usage statistics and crash diagnostics, push, backup, purchase). Usage statistics and crash diagnostics start only after you consent on first launch, and you can withdraw this anytime in the App settings.
3. Retention and Destruction
- Local data (recordings, settings, practice history): until you delete it in the App or uninstall the App. (Recording files in shared storage may remain on the device and are managed by you.)
- Drive backup: until you delete it from your Google Drive.
- Usage statistics / crash diagnostics: per Google Firebase's default retention policies (processed in aggregated/anonymized form).
- Inquiry records: destroyed within 12 months after the inquiry is resolved.
Destruction procedure and method: personal information whose retention period has expired or whose processing purpose has been achieved is destroyed without delay. Electronic files are permanently deleted in a non-recoverable manner; other records are shredded or incinerated.
4. Sharing and Sub-processors
We do not sell your personal information. To operate the App, we entrust processing to the following services, which handle information under their own policies.
- Google LLC — Firebase (Analytics, Crashlytics, Cloud Messaging), Google Play Billing, Google Drive. Google Privacy Policy
5. International Transfer
In the course of using the third-party (Google) services above, certain information may be processed and stored on servers located outside the Republic of Korea. This constitutes an entrustment/storage of personal information for the performance of the service (contract), with the following details.
| Recipient | Google LLC (contact: via the channels in the Google Privacy Policy) |
|---|---|
| Items transferred | Usage statistics (anonymous), crash diagnostics, push token, Drive backup data, payment information — the applicable items in Section 2 |
| Country, timing, method | The United States and other Google server locations / transmitted over the network as the relevant feature is used |
| Purpose & retention | The purposes in Section 2 / the retention periods in Section 3 (including Google/Firebase retention policies) |
| How to refuse & effect | For usage statistics and crash diagnostics, turn off Send usage statistics and crash reports in the App settings. Turn off Event notifications for the push token, and do not use backup for Drive; for other items, you may request refusal via the contact below. Refusal may limit use of the related feature. |
6. Device Permissions
- Microphone: used for the tuner's pitch detection and practice recording. Audio is processed on the device and not sent to our servers.
- Media/audio files: used to show the recordings list and to load audio for speed/pitch.
- Notifications: used to display notices if you enable event notifications.
You can revoke each permission anytime in your device settings; doing so limits only the related feature.
7. Your Rights and How to Exercise Them
- You can view and delete local data (recordings, settings) directly in the App.
- Opting out of usage statistics and crash diagnostics: turn off Send usage statistics and crash reports in the App settings to stop transmission. The App collects no advertising identifier. Push stops when you turn off Event notifications in the App settings.
- Requests to exercise rights such as access, correction, deletion, or restriction of processing are received and handled at the contact below (Data Protection Officer); we act without delay within the periods set by law.
- Users in the EU and other regions may have rights under applicable laws (e.g., GDPR) and can contact us below to exercise them. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
8. Remedies for Privacy Infringement
To report or consult on a privacy infringement, you may contact the following bodies in the Republic of Korea — the home regulators of the company. If you are outside Korea, you may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

10. Security
User data is, in principle, stored on the device, and communication with third-party (Google) services is protected with industry-standard encryption (e.g., HTTPS).
